Welcome to CliqueClack TV

Welcome, everyone, to CliqueClack TV.

“Who the hell are you?” you ask? We’re a clique of TV fanatics, here to clack to you about what moves us and what moves you in the world of television, whether it’s via lustful-like passion, mouth-frothing hatred or something in-between. The authors and contributors of CliqueClack TV are the ceiling and the floor of this establishment. We are our own boundaries.

The story that brings us here is an evolving one …

If you have some idea of who most of us are and where our roots began, you may be confused. Did we leave our roots behind to come live here? Are the readers expected to lift anchor and drop it here for good? The answer to both of those questions is: No.

We love to write unshackled, and we’re betting you like to read us that way too. And, without having to explain things in any sort of way that’s overly technical and boring, we bring you CliqueClack TV.

Only today did we open our doors wide and make our presence fully known. So, if this is your first time here: Welcome! To everyone else, welcome back.

What you’ll see here is a lot of familiar shows being reviewed by (at least for some of you) some familiar people. We’re going with edgy, fun content where we don’t hold anything back. We hope that we will keep you all coming back for more and commenting on what you like and don’t like about what we’re doing. We’ll be listening.

Check back later for a small Opening Day giveaway. Until then, visit our About page, don’t forget to visit our sponsors, keep coming back to clique and enjoy.

Huh?

Where’s the about page?

Will Jay Black be joining this site?

Where are my keys?

October 1, 2008 at 8:49 AM

Jay has 5 posts already, James :)

Congrats on the grand opening, Keith and the Clackers!

Thanks for the reply David.

I’m glad we’re getting in-depth reviews with fully-formed opinions. If anything, the writers actually get to write without being neutered. Thank you Jeebus!

Thanks guys for at least giving a non-explanation. I know you guys have your reasons for not divulging what went down. The folks over there should have done something similar.

I wish you success in your new home.

Listen to Keith’s interview at SyFy (there’s a post on here somewhere about it). It fills in just enough that you can pretty much figure the main gist of it out.

Since TV Squad is no longer doing Its Always Sunny and Smallville reviews will you have any on this site?

October 2, 2008 at 12:23 PM

We’re still discussing what shows we’ll cover regularly.

For the shows we won’t cover regularly, we’ll be doing one-off reviews of episodes that stand out from the rest. Check for those under “OMG/WTF Episode Reviews”.

Hmmm… A new home perhaps? Keith has always been one of my favorite bloggers over there, so i think I’m gonna like it here.

Congrats!!!

So far so good. I hope some of the other BSG people find this site. I don’t know what I’ll do come January if I don’t read about Tim-1’s undying love for Sharon/Boomer/Athena.

Yeah, what would we do?

October 1, 2008 at 12:25 PM

Good to see the best from squad is here now. Thanks for keeping the good parts alive.

I am really enjoying this place so far. I know it’s only going to get better as time goes on. When TVS was having their blackout I was finally looking around the net at other sites and this was the best one I found by far. I only like going to 1 site for tv stuff. But now that TVS has finally woken up I’ll still visit there but not as much as here. I think there’s more potential here. Keep up the good work.

So excited to get a new site (well, somehow I was not told prior to today, and I will forgive you that) where it will be no holds barred. Yay!!! Greatly looking forward to this.

October 1, 2008 at 3:11 PM

Yeah thanks a lot for this… looking good so far!

Do you folks plan on making the commenting (Which is 10x better than the last place I used to hang out) a little more robust with avatars (for us), ability to drill into who comments on what, etc?

October 1, 2008 at 5:14 PM

You can have a custom avatar by using https://en.gravatar.com/ and just make sure you use the same email address when commenting as you do when you submit your avatar there.

Testing the gravatar avatar :)

thanks for welcoming us……..look foward to the articles

October 2, 2008 at 9:33 AM

I came over here from TV Squad looking for Bones discussion and recaps.

I see that it’s listed in the menu on the right, but yet there’s no recaps.

What’s the deal?

October 2, 2008 at 9:44 AM

Coming sometime today. Running a little behind. Stay tuned!

October 2, 2008 at 10:13 AM

woo woo! loving cliqueclack already. you guys are the greatest.

October 3, 2008 at 9:37 AM

Followed you right on over. Already loving the Site. The other site who?

October 13, 2008 at 8:43 AM

I might be a little late in getting on the bandwagon but goodwork cliqueclack scribes. I am also a TVS reader who has gotten extremely pissed off at the slide in quality for their reviews/recaps.

October 13, 2008 at 7:30 PM

I too wanted to say thank you for the new site! It looks great so far. You might want to make this welcome article a little more visible. I ended up here from TVSquad and it took me forever to find this post and figure out what this place is about. (I thought I was in some kind of Bizarro TVS where actual shows were being discussed.) I still don’t exactly get what is going on over at TVS, but I do know that TVS is totally useless right now. Thanks for creating TVS: The Next Generation!
