NBC

4:00p/3:00 Central

  • ALDS Game 4 means that the White Sox aren’t done yet, but Tampa Bay hopes to finish them today.

8:00p/7:00 Central

  • It would appear that CBS finally understands the concept of good comedy and they start their night off strong with The Big Bang Theory. In this geeky sitcom, the bizarre friendship between Sheldon and Penny goes to the next level as he introduces her to the world of online gaming. Then, Ted learns that Stella thinks he’s going to move to the ‘burbs after they wed on How I Met Your Mother.
  • Dancing With the Stars goes into Week 3 of the competition, while at 7:30/8:30 Central the Angels keep fighting for their lives against Boston in their own ALDS Game 4.
  • Also at the half hour is ESPN’s Monday Night Football with the Vikings taking on the Saints.
  • Something miraculous needs to happen for FOX’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to avoid cancellation at this point. Maybe Ellison’s first assignment for Shirley Manson’s Weaver will do it.
  • MyNetwork TV’s Celebrity Expose returns for a second season, first off by looking at the relationship between stars and the paparazzi.
  • John Larroquette is suddenly everywhere, and tonight he’s on NBC’s Chuck as a legendary spy. The CW offers up a repeat of the second season premiere of Gossip Girl.

9:00p/8:00 Central

  • I still can’t get into CBS’s Two and a Half Men, but for those of you who do tonight features Alan trying to juggle two women, Charlie cooking and Jake trying beer. That’s followed by more horrible mishaps on Worst Week as Sam tries to fix the damage he’s done to Dick’s portrait.
  • Peter takes on a new ability to prevent yet another horrible future on NBC’s Heroes. On the other super hero show of the hour, Prison Break, Sarah learns what’s wrong with Michael and the whole gang goes to Vegas to track the next card.
  • If reality’s more your style, you can catch the finale of I Want to Work for Diddy on VH1. The crazy world of the Gosselins and their eight children continues to unfold on TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8.
  • More secrets are revealed on MyNetwork TV’s Magic’s Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed. For more action in the squared circle check out WWE Raw on USA.

10:00p/9:00 Central

  • TLC explores an even bigger family on 17 Kids & Counting with two back-to-backepisodes. Meanwhile, MTV offers up a much hipper reality on The Hills and My Super Sweet 16 Presents: Exiled.
  • If you don’t want to watch spoiled brats learning what real suffering is, you can always listen to people try and explain Why I Ran from the cops on the Biography Channel at 10:30p/9:30 Central instead.
  • VH1 follows up their exploration of the top 100 hip hop songs with the 2008 Hip Hop Honors special hosted by Tracy Morgan. This year’s honorees include Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Naughty by Nature, Slick Rick and Too $hort.
  • In scripted fare, NBC keeps putting Life all over the schedule, tonight featuring a case involving a research scientist frozen completely solid. TNT’s Raising the Bar continues being terrible with two cases: Jerry handles a guy who followed a hit-and-run driver and robbed him, while Bobbi deals with a domestic violence victim who won’t press charges.
  • Alternately, the CSI: Miami team, on CBS, tracks down the killer of Delko’s therapist’s daughter.
  • And wrapping up a run-down of the night packed with the most shows worth watching (why do you do this, TV?) we come to Boston Legal. Tonight, Denny gets arrested … again. This time for shooting a man in self defense with a concealed weapon.
