Heroes – Dying of the Light – Liveblogging

NBC

NBC

Hello everyone! We’ve got your Heroes liveblog for this week. I’m not sold on this season yet, but Matt gets a turtle! So… that’s something. Personally, I hope they have a spinoff sitcom in which Matt and the turtle move live as mismatched roommates in the city.

The liveblog transcript follows after the jump. Read it and relive each time Hiro got hit in the head with a shovel.

9:15
Kona Gallagher:  Sorry about the delay. I had some technical difficulties
9:17
Kona Gallagher:  I wonder at what point between now and the time she and Matt get together she actually finds a hair brush.
9:18
[Comment From Bob Sassone]
Hey Kona…hope that’s not the end of Adam Munroe!
9:18
Kona Gallagher:  Hey Bob. I hope so too. He’s too hot to get rid of.
9:19
Kona Gallagher:  Heh. I love seeing her Nicki/Jessica/whomever get hurt./
9:19
Bob Sassone:  Well, I don’t know about that, but he is a cool character, heh.
9:19
[Comment From Sharon C]
D’oh. Suresh is getting mean
9:20
Kona Gallagher:  I know. I’m not really behind the new direction Suresh has taken.
9:20
Kona Gallagher:  I’m glad they’re giving him more to do, but a sex-fiend cocoon maker isn’t exactly how I want to see him.
9:22
[Comment From Sharon C]
How did you like how the got out of the killing Ando thing?
9:25
Bob Sassone:  I thought it was clever, though even if he did really kill him I guess he could have gone back in time to change it, heh
9:26
Kona Gallagher:  My TV messed up, so I had to move to another one and I actually missed it. I’m glad to see Hiro and Ando back together though

9:26
[Comment From king james]
is heroes on now
9:27
Kona Gallagher:  Ha! I find physical violence way too funny. I like Hiro, but people getting hit on the head with a shovel is hilarious.
9:27
[Comment From Sharon C]
hahahaha Hiro got it!
9:28
[Comment From Ian Levenstein]
Both of Claire’s mothers bother me.
9:28
Kona Gallagher:  Ooh, it’s David Lawrence. Did everyone read Jane’s interview with him?
9:29
Kona Gallagher:  I like Claire’s adoptive mother. i think it’s cool that they’re finally letting her out of the house.
9:29
Bob Sassone:  Why are people such terrible liars on TV shows in situations like this?
9:29
Kona Gallagher:  Heh
9:31
Kona Gallagher:  Since Suresh didn’t have a power before and kind of made one for himself, do you think they’re going to give Claire’s mother one?
9:32
Bob Sassone:  “Everyone loves the new hit Kath & Kim.” Riiiiiiiiiight.
9:32
Kona Gallagher:  I have it under good authority that that is, in fact, not true.
9:32
[Comment From king james]
what happen on tonight show?
9:33
Bob Sassone:  Wow, Claire is rather inept at this, isn’t she?
9:33
Kona Gallagher:  Obviously. She doesn’t have the brown hair and eyeshadow, after all. That’s where her badass-ness comes from.
9:34
Bob Sassone:  I’d like to have this guy’s power. It would help with people in my way at the supermarket.
9:34
Kona Gallagher:  Yeah, why doesn’t Hiro always travel to one minute before something bad happens? That would seem smart.
9:35
Kona Gallagher:  Ooh, both Hiros got whacked!
9:35
[Comment From Sharon C]
bahhhahaha!!!
9:35
[Comment From Ian Levenstein]
HA!
9:36
[Comment From Sharon C]
Is he going to do it again?
9:36
Kona Gallagher:  I certainly hope so
9:36
Kona Gallagher:  It’ll be like a very high-budget episode of The Three Stooges.
9:37
[Comment From Sharon C]
Hey it was pointing right at him!
9:38
Kona Gallagher:  Uh oh, is Claire going to be down to one mommy soon?
9:39
Kona Gallagher:  Do you get the feeling this is just an average evening for this guy?
9:40
[Comment From Ian Levenstein]
Two moms enter. One mom leaves!
9:40
[Comment From Sharon C]
Can we do that to her too?
9:41
Kona Gallagher:  Wow, she pulled the trigger three times. That’s pretty impressive.
9:41
[Comment From Ian Levenstein]
Dumbass. He got his.
9:41
Kona Gallagher:  Claire’s healing time seems to vary greatly from episode to episode.
9:41
Bob Sassone:  Now, instead of repeatedly hitting the guy over and over again, they’ll leave him on the floor so he can get up and escape or capture them again.
9:41
[Comment From Sharon C]
Ok, so the three stooges are back…!
9:42
Kona Gallagher:  Hey, they’re new at this.
9:43
Bob Sassone:  Stupid TV characters never learn.
9:43
Kona Gallagher:  I wonder what Elle’s doing with herself nowadays.
9:46
Kona Gallagher:  I like the bigger role that Mrs. Petrelli has taken this season.
9:47
Kona Gallagher:  I don’t know that anybody has the right idea about HRG in their head.
9:48
[Comment From Ian Levenstein]
I think this episode is lacking something. Least favorite of this season so far.
9:48
Kona Gallagher:  I don’t know, there is a lot of random violence, which I’m always a fan of.
9:49
[Comment From Sharon C]
It’s furthering the story a lot.
9:49
[Comment From Ian Levenstein]
Yeah, but that’s kinda it, isn’t it? No substance.
9:49
Kona Gallagher:  Did he just say, “I’m the most special?”
9:50
[Comment From Sharon C]
EGO maniac
9:50
[Comment From Sharon C]
Slippery girl…
9:50
[Comment From Ian Levenstein]
“Yeah, well I’m more specialer!”
9:50
Bob Sassone:  I like Maya in the cocoon. First time I can stand her character.
9:50
Kona Gallagher:  Ha. Me too.
9:51
Kona Gallagher:  I do not like badass Suresh though
9:52
[Comment From Ian Levenstein]
But he’s not badass, that’s the thing. He’s acting like a drug addict to me. Needing something, doing anything to get it. But he’s not using his smarts to do it like he should be.
9:52
[Comment From Jane Boursaw]
Hey guys
9:52
Kona Gallagher:  That’s a great way of putting it, Ian. He is like a drug addict.
9:53
Kona Gallagher:  Hi Jane!
9:53
[Comment From Jane Boursaw]
I like Maya in the cocoon, too.
9:53
Jane Boursaw:  Hey, Kona!
9:53
Jane Boursaw:  I dunno… David Lawrence said we’re supposed to just let the episodes wash over us. I’m trying…
9:54
Kona Gallagher:  I think Matt and his turtle should get a spinoff.
9:55
Kona Gallagher:  She reminds me of Meredith Grey with crazy hair right now. All simpering and twitchy.
9:56
Jane Boursaw:  This continuing Africa thing is going nowhere for me.
9:56
Kona Gallagher:  Ugh. Me neither.
9:57
Kona Gallagher:  Although now it sounds like they may be leaving Africa.
9:58
Kona Gallagher:  Mr. Petrelli looks pretty good for a dead guy.
9:59
[Comment From Sharon C]
NO don’t do it!
9:59
Kona Gallagher:  I don’t think it’s alright, Peter!
9:59
[Comment From Sharon C]
OOOhhh…he sucks the powers away!
9:59
Jane Boursaw:  Oh boy. So Arthur is collecting everyone else’s powers…?
9:59
Kona Gallagher:  Whoa! He stole Peter’s powers! That’s much less violent than how Sylar used to do it.
10:00
Jane Boursaw:  “You’re grounded”…??? Oh Please…
10:00
Kona Gallagher:  Yeah, talk about cheesy.
10:01
Kona Gallagher:  This episode was kind of “meh,” but I do like the direction it seems to be heading.
10:01
[Comment From Sharon C]
At least the story is advancing.
10:02
Kona Gallagher:  Although now I’m afraid it’s going to get the Lost disease in which nothing interesting happens for the entire episode, and then BAM! something crazy happens in the last five minutes.
10:02
Jane Boursaw:  Yeah, I guess. I can’t say I’m any more excited about it than the past few episodes.
10:02
Kona Gallagher:  Well I’m interested in seeing where the storyline with Nathan and Peter’s dad goes.
10:03
Kona Gallagher:  Okay everyone. Sorry about the late start, but thanks for joining me. I’ll see you next week!

It’s going to be interesting to see how Arthur’s power pans out and who is going to be left to oppose him.

I thought the promo last week said (or maybe I read it somewhere) that we were going to learn why Claire was special this episode. But all we saw her healing power again. Did I miss something?

I don’t understand, all I see is the Lorem Ipsum poem? I mean Heroes was kinda blah last night, but I imagine that more was said at the liveblogging?
