Tonight on the tube: Secret Million Dollar Password or something

TesteesSpotlight Show of the Night

Million Dollar Password (CBS, 8:00 p.m./7:00 p.m. Central) – I don’t care what it is, but any reason to bring William Shatner back to television is a good thing. The man is always money when he’s on the airwaves. Tonight, he’s one of the celebrity “helpers” on Regis Philbin’s revamp of the original Password game show. The other is Aisha Tyler, who’s also pretty entertaining. This marks the first appearance of the show during the regular season, as it originally ran during the summer.

Beginnings, Endings & Specials

The Black Widow: A Web of Suspicion (A&E, 11:00 p.m./10:00 p.m. Central) – Sandra Bridewell, suspected of murdering her third husband, has been dubbed the Black Widow because all three of her husbands died mysteriously. So let’s dig deeper and find out more. Like if she’s available.

The Christmas Clause (ION, 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. Central) -When Lea Thompson asks Santa for a break from her stressful life, and he grants her wish, she learns that sometimes freedom from responsibilities carries a price of its own. Aw, Christmas and learning lessons go hand-in-hand.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (ABC Family, 8:00 p.m./7:00 p.m. Central) – The new “classic” of the classic Christmas tale featuring Jim Carrey in the titular role. For the most part, this live-action Seussian adventure worked very well, far better than you might have imagined. Can’t say the same for The Cat in the Hat.

Dragon’s Den (BBC America, 8:00 p.m./7:00 p.m. Central, 3rd Season Finale) -It’s the season finale of this invention pitching show. Watch it and steal their ideas (don’t do that).

Faith Hill, Joy to the World: A Soundstage Special Event (PBS, 10:00 p.m./9:00 p.m. Central) – With full orchestral backing, Faith Hill performs songs from her latest 2008 Joy to the World Christmas album. And then silenty screams out “No” when she finds out some girl in the audience is listening to Carrie Underwood on her iPod.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas (ToonDisney, 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. Central) – This ’99 compilation special features Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in a trio of holiday-themed shorts.

Secret Millionaire (FOX, 8:00 p.m./7:00 p.m. Central) -In this finale, we get two undercover millionaires in Las Vegas: software entrepeneur brothers Greg and Paul Haerr from Salt Lake City.

Total Drama Island: Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island (Cartoon Network, 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. Central) – In this one hour reunion special, the campers reunite for one last challenge: find a suitcase filled with $1,000,000. Did I mention this was a cartoon.

Testees (FX, 11:00 p.m./10:00 p.m. Central, 1st Season Finale) – The finale is actually the second of two back-to-back episodes tonight. In the first, Testico won’t tell the boys what they’re testing, leading to paranoia. Then in the finale, it’s a truth serum which puts their friendship to the test.
