The Office – Angela Martin needs psychological help

Angela Kinsey of The OfficeAngela has become one of my favorite characters on The Office, but I think she might be getting worse and worse as time progresses. Every time we get a glimpse of her personal life, I worry more and more. Not only was her behavior with Andy and Dwight deplorable, there’s the matter of her cats. Everybody knows the cliche of the lonely old lady who lives alone at home with her millions of cats. But how did she become that way?

Apparently it was by working for years at a paper company. The level of her disturbing relationship with her cats has been touched on over the run of the series, but it reached a new high (low?) tonight. I think she was cheating on both Dwight and Andy with at least one of her harem. And if there was any doubt that it was a harem, I think that was pretty well clarified tonight.

Kevin and Oscar got more than an eyeful of Angela’s felinophilia when she accidentally left her nanny cam on during an emergency trip home to keep one of her male cats from banging her new female. Now you might think this is to keep the purity of Princess Lady, but I think it’s because Angela was jealous of that relationship.

If she’s not sexually active with these cats, especially now that she’s lost both of her human lovers, I’ll be absolutely stunned. She brought one to the office already, as seen during the fire drill, and she admitted to loving her cats more than she loved any humans.

And the licking? We don’t know what else Oscar and Brian might have seen, but it haunted them. And Angela knows it’s wrong because she was mortified when she realized she’d left the cam running, worried that someone had seen her.  The bottom line is that Angela is a furry, but she skipped people dressed as animals and went straight for the poor animals themselves. By the end of the series run maybe she’ll wind up committed.

That cat licking scene had to be the most disturbing thing I’ve seen on The Office to date. Like Oscar said, if I’d seen something like that for real, I’d really wish I could unsee it.

I wished they would have at least made fun of her when she got back since they showed all of that. And that was pretty bitchy of her not to give back the ring.

Don’t you mean Oscar and Kevin if you’re referring to the characters and not the actors?
