See Jane Clack – Octo-Mom, Lake Bell, and Leonard Nimoy

nadya_suleman5Octo-Mom, Lake Bell, and Leonard Nimoy are just a few of the hot topics making me clack this week. Read on, and let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Octo-Mom in talks for reality show. Good lord almighty, Nadya Suleman, aka Octo-Mom, is close to signing a deal for a reality show about her and her 14 kids.A story in People.com says she’s sick of TV cameras and wants to protect her kids privacy, but also wants enough cash to support them without public assistance. So hey! Let’s just throw them under the bus carrying millions of people every week! Producers want to get into the nitty-gritty of their lives, showing Suleman learning to drive a 14-passenger van, go on a date, have a big Thanksgiving dinner, that sort of thing. I dunno. I suppose the show will be wildly popular, because she’s such a train wreck. I don’t know if I could stomach it, though. Would YOU watch it?

Melora Hardin and the worst casting in the world! I saw Hannah Montana: The Movie with my tween daughter this weekend. It’s an innocent enough movie, rated G and all, but I couldn’t get past the most horrific casting in the history of anything. Melora Hardin, who plays Jan on The Office, played Billy Ray Cyrus’ love interest in the movie. I just kept waiting for Michael Scott to show up and start making stupid wisecracks.

Lake Bell gets an HBO series. I’ve been waiting for Lake Bell to get her own series since I saw her on Surface, the short-lived sci-fi show about sea creatures taking over the world. I loved that show! And I’m still seriously miffed that it ended with the characters standing in a church steeple watching the creatures swim through a flooded town down below. Anyway, now she’s joined HBO’s upcoming comedy How to Make It in America. It sounds pretty good, too. The show revolves around two 20-something guys and their quest for the American dream in NYC.

Jeff Corwin gets a cooking show. Yes, the wildlife guy is getting his own show on the Food Network channel. This is the part where I’d make some joke about him cooking up monkey brains and snake skins, but it actually sounds pretty interesting. He’ll travel the globe, sample exotic foods, and learn about local customs. Maybe he can give Survivorman a few tips on cooking up monkey brains. Or something.

Leonard Nimoy gets a role on Fringe. In one of the sweetest casting coups of the year, I’m so looking forward to seeing Nimoy as William Bell on Fringe. He’ll be in the May 12 season finale. Just the thought of him and Denethor on screen together is making me giddy.

So what made you clack this week?

Octo-bitch, she isn’t a mother, should have all the children taken away from her, she clearly is crazy.

Great mother whoring out her children for money. Enough of her already!

Octo-mom is a freak of nature, I feel bad for her kids. I would watch the show to fill my morbid-curiosity quotient for the year. Like, if I were channel surfing and it was on, I think it would have the watching a train wreck type effect on me.

I loved Surface too. I was sad to see it not get a second season on any channel.

Jeff Corwin is kind of annoying.

I love, Love, LOVE Fringe. Can’t wait for Leonard Nimoy to appear!!

I think I would watch the 700 club before watching that mess and I would rather have an icepick to the head before watching the 700 club!

I don’t know who is more to blame; her or the doctor who did the implantation.
