The Unusuals – That’s a wrap (wah!)

the_unusuals_banks_delahoy

Oh, how I’ll miss my weekly dose of Banks and Delahoy. I really don’t understand why The Unusuals didn’t make it to season two. All about the numbers game, I suppose.

At any rate, I’ll just take this opportunity to say that I loved the show, loved all the characters, and will miss it. Since we won’t have another episode, rather than talk about the guy who broke into apartments making porn movies, or Shraeger and Walsh’s conversation about her being a “she-male,” I’ll just use this wrap-up post for a few of the great quotes in the final episode:

“Wanna do the ostrich?” – Shraeger, approaching a suspect
“No, let’s do the frisky beaver.” – Walsh

“So, we get to spend all day and night watching porn. We’ve been preparing for this moment since the day we were 13.” – Delahoy
“What? I don’t wanna watch porn without you.” – Banks
“That is maybe the gayest thing you’ve ever said to me, in a long list of gay things you’ve said.” – Delahoy

Thanks for the post Jane. I loved “The Unusuals”. Let’s pretend they were the Mona Lisa of this season and just wait for the DVD set… maybe there’ll be some extremely good extras *crosses fingers*

I’m thinking of The Unusuals as the Keen Eddie of this season.

Oh, now I’m the one crying! Keen Eddie is one of my all-time favorite shows… so much fun: How do you like me so far? ;-)

Count me in the list of people that just didn’t get the appeal of this one. I gave it two or three episodes before I gave up, but it just never clicked for me.

Amber Tamblyn’s character was the only thing about the show I liked.

For me, The Unusuals is the cop show for people that are sick of cop shows. The characters are a little crazy. There’s a good dose of comedy. And just enough recurring story to keep things interesting. Plus, along with Amber Tamblyn, they brought in Kat Foster, who was the best thing about ‘Til Death.

Yup, this is the quirky one. I mean the radio messages are a little bit over the top even for me but this show was the “Grand Theft Auto” of TV Cop shows for me. In-Jokes all around.

I mean I don’t get the appeal of “Ally McBeal” either, which would be about the same thing when it comes to lawyer shows for women. But I got “Boston Legal” so…

Boston Legal is one the top 5 best TV shows out there in my opinion. The Denny & Alan dynamic was perfect, right til the end…

i need some scotch & a cigar now…

So I just finished the last ep not too long ago. This sucks. I hate that this wasn’t a true ending. I really want to know what Delahoy was going to do about Monica being fired & his feelings for her & if he would seek treatment. Also, if Banks makes it past 42.

Favorite part from this ep was Banks & Delahoy fighting over the Delahoy saying they don’t fight much. & him clearing up that Banks is “Lucy” in their relationship.

Damn i’ll miss this show.

I was mad at first when the Unusuals replaced Life on Mars but I started to really like it after a few viewings. Banks and Delahoy were great, actually all of the characters added to the show, even Alvarez from last week’s episode. I wish Fox would pick it up and get rid of Lie to Me and pair it with Bones.

I missed Eddie Alvarez and the Sergeant in the final episode. Can we just pretend that the characters drinking at the bar at the end of last week was the ending instead?

I LOVED this show. Me and my fiance both, and I am very sad they canceled it.
