Greek’s back … and it’s BACK!

Season-3-greek-premiere Casey and Rusty experiment

What happened “The Day After?” Well, for starters, Jordan didn’t die, which I found a bit surprising. I mean, I could have sworn that I saw the entire thing happen right before my very eyes. Actually, was I the one wielding the … um, that was just some movie. Yeah, a movie.

Also weird? Rusty and Dale seem to have changed physically overnight. Rusty looks a little more manly, while Dale appears to have gotten a bit more round. I wonder what was in those drinks the KTs were serving….

So, yuck yuck, giggle giggle, applause applause. Now, let’s get serious, because Greek is back. And it’s as awesome as it ever was. YES!

There are, not surprisingly, three stories that I’m very much not looking forward to being played out this season — Rusty being sad about Max having left (which is great!), Rusty and Jordan still being together (I could have sworn that she died), and Rebecca and what appears to be her thing with Fisher (Andrew J. West). Do we really need any of that clutter?

But those are about the only negatives that appear to lie ahead for us. I’m enjoying Evan again, Cappie and Casey and their question mark means more Cappie, Calvin looks like he’s back to being himself, and I got the distinct impression that Dale will be a large presence this season. That’s about the greatest news that we can get.

Dale trying to talk to Cappie about his personal problem turned into one of the funniest scenes to ever be shot of Greek. I was laughing hysterically, and had to rewind several times in order to catch it all. “I’m not even really sure what this is.”

And how about our little Dale, losing his virginity in the face of the apocalypse? Or Sheila (Kristen O’Meara) breaking his little heart after he foolishly proposed to her? How much awesome Dale can we handle in one episode (hint: there is no limit)? I’m just giddy over the prospects for the coming season, which is set to continue through Thanksgiving break.

Other funny moments included everything having to do with the ZBZ breakup ritual (lots of cats), and Dale’s audio book of the Bible narrated by “Q” from Star Trek (whoever the hell that is). Only Dale would hear him as the voice of God.

Quotes? We got ‘em:

“He was a nerd but he was hot … it was just so confusing.” – Random ZBZ sister to Casey, about Max

“I had to fake a nosebleed to get out of there.” – Dale to Calvin, on how he supposedly escaped from Sheila at the party

Plus, the entire scene between Dale and Cappie, which I couldn’t copy down, because I couldn’t manage to watch it through without breaking into laughter.

For those keeping score at home: Dale lost his virginity (#5), no Frannie or Max (#6), Dale’s in 100% of the episodes thus far (#10), and Evan and Cappie were buds in public (#13) … but everyone was drunk. Let’s call it 3.5 for 13 so far — .269 is a far cry from .500, but it’s still early, fans.

Greek is back, and it feels so good.

I flove Dale, Cappie and Evan !
I love/like Calvin and Casey
I like but can be annoyed by Rusty, Ashley and Rebecca.
It is a show where anybody in the main characters are unbearable and it’s so RARE !
Kudos Greek for that.
