Season One, Episode Ten “Dragonchasers”
How the Strike Team, and his family, rely on Vic Mackey is obvious. The fact that everyone else does has got to weigh on the guy. Connie putting him on the spot like this is a bit ridiculous, but truly, he has set himself up for the life he’s leading. It is one thing to “care” (note the very specific quotation marks), but he’s crossed the line here several times (a phrase that should become his middle name). At this point, I’m not sure he’s not just protecting himself, though. He protected her from murder charges, something that is going to haunt him as long as she is still around.
I’ve appreciated the running storyline that has been Dutch’s hunt for the serial killer … in a lot of ways he hasn’t let up from this case from the minute it crossed his desk. I’m glad that he finally wrapped the case. As much as Sean Taylor succeeded in getting into his head, the praise from the rest of the Barn had to mean something. If he could have only seen the reaction in the observation room as they watched the tide change in the interrogation.
Not sure what to think about Danni and Julien’s storyline this week. He’s got a basketful of issues, evidenced by his participation in the blanket party. If the young officer doesn’t get on track soon, he’s going to just keep spiraling down the drain.
Speaking of cops in trouble, Aceveda is in a world of it. The reporter is not going to let go of this story. I’m not even sure I believe what he told his wife. I’m not saying he is guilty of rape, but he’s guilty of something.
