With Christmas around the corner, can you relate to the family dinner scenes around the table on this week’s Bleep My Dad Says?
I can’t honestly state anyone has ever left the table at my house in a huff nor can I remember drama exhibiting itself in a manner as evident as at The Goodson’s table in this episode. The first two dinner attempts resulted in the dissolution of the group – no family dinner, no further chatter. The topics of discussion basically ticked everyone off to the point of just about everyone scattering, the meals barely touched.
The final dinner scene, however was a nice wrap up:
I’ve squawked about the “feel good” endings previously in other reviews, but I didn’t have too much of a problem with this one.
However, a qualm of mine, which I’ve brought up a time or two, is my lack of feeling for Vince (Will Sasso) and Bonnie (Nicole Sullivan). Well … that definitely changed with this episode on the part of Sasso. Whereas I enjoyed the back and forth banter at the table in the above video, it seems the writers are going out of their way in dumbing down Vince to the point he looks plain stupid. Why? To what end? If there’s anything which should be changed about BMDS – any one thing about the show — it should be Vince’s character. Because it just doesn’t work. So, guys … please: Quit with the doofusness of Sasso’s Vince. The actor is so much better than what’s being portrayed on the small screen.
P.S. Many of you have commented on the show sequence: Vince and Bonnie living with Ed … Vince and Bonnie back in their condo … Root Beer the dog a staple figure … Root Beer the dog being given to Bonnie as a gift for the very first time a few shows later … and all the confusion surrounding these events. CBS has simply mixed up the order of the airings. Don’t adjust your television sets; you’re not going bonkers. There’s a rhyme and reason networks do this … but it is not for us to wonder why. Don’t let it get the better of your enjoyment of the show.
