In celebration of its June 21st season 2 premiere and in light of its complete first season release June 19th, CliqueClack is giving away a brand-spankin’-new Blu-ray copy of season 1 of Wilfred … !!!
Wilfred is the story of Ryan, a depressed man who believes he is getting nowhere in his life and plans to kill himself. In the middle of his attempted suicide, he is asked to watch his neighbor’s dog, Wilfred, but Ryan can only see Wilfred as a real person instead of an animal that everyone else sees. As they begin to bond more and become friends, Wilfred teaches Ryan a life lesson about people, love, and living.
Fox’s two-disc set offers Wilfred’s first season in its 1.78:1 broadcast aspect ratio with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks. The discs also contain the following supplements:
What do you have to do to win this freshman season set starring Jason Gann and Elijah Wood? Simple: Based on the cliffhanger season finale, comment below whether you believe Ryan is dead or alive. All through last summer’s run of the show, I kept wondering if Ryan really did off himself. I want to know what you think.
We will pick a commenter at random and contact that person at the conclusion of this contest. You must leave your comment no later than Saturday, June 23rd at 12:01 a.m. EDT. (Be certain your spam filters do not block e-mail from @cliqueclack.com!) Only one entry per person and you must have a valid U.S.-based mailing address. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents 18 years of age or older only. Failure to follow these guidelines will void your entry. Best of luck!
And … Woof!
can i not tell you how i thought it would go since i saw the season 2 episode 1 preview thats on-line right now. Can I instead tell you not to miss the new episode for any reason… Great guest stars, awesome story and all kinds of nutsiness. I loved it.
not sure if i won this from you, but one arrived today with no name of who sent it. If it was you, THANKS its awesome.
Ryan survives with some sort of bizarre Dallas type explanation.
I think ryan is alive but is still having a mental breakdown that has been going on the entire season. I do love the really dark and twisted meta-plot one can make out of this show. Seriously, ryan has major problems that no one seems to get. Also, in the new season I hope he ends up with Chloe from smallville, and Jenna gets jealous, but it is too late because she sucks anyway.
I think it would be a pretty bold step for a TV show to have him be dead and this is his afterlife. It would make me enjoy the show even more. Sure, I guess I hope he’s dead just because of all the weird stuff they could keep doing then. You sort of throw all the rules out the window when you’re in the afterlife.
I really liked Wilfred. Hook me up!
I think Ryan is alive. It’s a little too cerebral for a comedy to have him be in a limbo state.
Ryan:”I’m not crazy!!”
Wilfred:”says the man to the dog”
Love Wilfred!
No, I don’t think Ryan is dead. Haven’t read anything about the new season so I am totally thinking out loud here but wouldn’t it be funny if he did everything correctly to off himself, survived, then spent the 2nd season with a death wish? He’d do different things that sane people would think was crazy (like putting himself into situations where he’s very likely to die, example: the middle of a bank robbery, a domestic situation, etc.) But no matter the chances he takes, he NEVER gets hurt, even though he kind of wants to.
This show is funny & although I didn’t think I would like it, I’m looking forward to it coming back.
Ryan died and had a dream he was Wilfred. But then he (as Wilfred) died and woke up as Ryan. Season 2.
I think he’s alive. A season of wandering through the afterlife would go too far.
I had seen all of the Australian episodes of Wilfred before the Fx version was announced, and was unsure of how the transition to US TV would fly. I found the Fx version just as funny, even without the saltier language and nudity that the Aussies have. Having the same actor as Wilfred was a stroke of genius and definitely was the key to it turning out so well.
I can’t believe that Ryan would be dead.
I think he didn’t kill himself because then what would happen in Season 2??
I hope Ryan lives (Ryan’s Hope – wasn’t that a soap opera?). Anyway, I want to express again that Ryan lives (Ryan’s express – wasn’t that a movie/Nolan Ryan’s fastball?). OK, I give up with these bad puns … but I do think Ryan is among the living!
I think he is still alive. Otherwise the show would have to write itself out of a huge hole.

. . . . .
You mean … in the vein of Lost, mike?
I certainly hope not …
This show is dark, but would it be that dark? Although if the entirety of Season 1 was already in Purgatory/Limbo, the show could continue indefinitely with Ryan convinced he was still alive, but the audience knowing otherwise.
Allison Mack will be a guest star? It’ll be odd seeing her perform opposite other people who are actually trying to act for once.
That was such a mean cliffhanger, especially given how long it has been since the show aired. I think he is still alive, but it would be quite a twist if he was dead, but I just can’t picture how they would do that.
he lives!
I think he’s alive.
I think he’s still alive.
I think he’s dead, but will come back and live a dream for the next season.
