With a by-the-numbers week on the broadcast networks, the big stories were on cable, where the Women’s World Cup did very well and the premiere of ‘Breaking Bad’ brought very good numbers for AMC.
The big surprise on the networks came from the numbers for ABC’s Jaycee Dugard special, which easily outscored the MLB All-Star Game. Over on cable, another huge helping of summer premieres, including ‘Curb’, ‘Alphas’, ‘Warehouse 13′, ‘Eureka’, and ‘The Closer’.
Who can you trust if you can’t trust your brothers? Or, in this case, your fellow humans when you are at war with aliens invading your planet? Definitely not any character played by Henry Czerny.
