On the nights I’m actually able to watch three or more TV shows (whether they’re new, recorded or via DVD), I post my own personal ranking of how each fared against the other. Some spoilers may follow.
Though the Middle Earth references and an interesting case kept me interested, “Knight Fall” left me wishing they hadn’t returned to the usual formula so soon.
The singing kids of ‘Glee’ returned to FOX and rode the ‘Idol’ wave to huge numbers. Over on cable, Discovery had a return of their own as the men of ‘Deadliest Catch’ opened a new crab season.
Even though I embrace the ‘House’ formula from week to week, I’m loving the experimentation they are doing this season. After six seasons, ‘House’ is better than ever and still full of charming surprises.

Daylight savings kicked in and knocked ‘Chuck’, and a number of different shows, for a loop. Meanwhile, over on cable, premieres for ‘Justified’ and ‘South Park’ set some very high marks.
