Latest episode clacks for this show:
Evil Wil Wheaton isn’t really evil except when it comes to Sheldon Cooper. He’s really entertaining, clever, handsome and witty. (Do I get a Guinness?) As a bit of insight, in his blog — linked in the review — he wrote about finishing the episode just about three weeks or so ago. I didn’t realize they shot so close to scheduled air dates.
The big story in ratings last week came from the huge numbers AMC enjoyed for the premiere of ‘The Walking Dead’. Over on the broadcast networks, the return of Penny to ‘Big Bang Theory’ had that show riding high as well.
Kaley Cuoco made her first appearance as Penny this season and was kept behind a bar. No, she’s not hiding a pregnancy like many actresses do as long as she can. She broke her leg while horseback riding in September. I’ve missed her.
It was another pretty standard week where the numbers were concerned. Most shows have started to stabilize by this point, but there are still some interesting bits to be had. The race between ‘Castle’ and ‘Hawaii Five-0′ is one of those.
Sheldon Cooper’s laugh is impossible to describe in words. We need technology for a sound byte. If pressed, I’d have to say it’s a cross between a snort and the start of a sneeze, done twice. That just doesn’t do it justice, but it’s so perfect for Sheldon!
Something a little different this week. We’re far enough along in the new season to get a pretty good idea of how the new shows are performing, so we take a look at how each network is doing with their new programming.
This show consistently has some of the funniest lines and descriptions on television today. While it’s hard to actually catch all the scientific jargon used, I still love “cornucopia of social awkwardness” and “I’m a physicist, not a hippie.” Definitely snicker-worthy stuff!
