I’m back for another crack at a weekly column that focuses on the shows you may see from 9-5 during the weekday. Talk shows, game shows, reality TV, reruns, and informational shows are all fair game (and subject to my sarcastic commentary).
‘Louie’ sort of asks the question: Can a man be raped? And will he still enjoy it? Also, who didn’t let the gorilla into the ballet?
Wilfred is back to his old self in this episode, really giving Ryan a reason to assert himself. Nice to see them being buddies once more and moving past the finger pointing, but it was a little tough pulling the “dignity” out of the episode.
‘Rookie Blue’s’ Andy McNally has to point a gun at an eleven year old boy, which is only the start of a very bad day, as her estranged mother has returned .
‘Suits’ doesn’t have a new episode this week due to the holiday. What are you supposed to do to get your Harvey, Mike, Louis, Donna, or Rachel fix? Watch the webisodes!
‘The Wire’ gets incredibly intense in these next two episodes, as one of the members of the detail finds themselves in a very bad situation.
‘Dallas’ aired an all-new episode on the Fourth of July, and there were fireworks as Bobby and John Ross both discovered they’d been duped by JR over control of Southfork. Did we expect anything less from him?
Here are some of the best ‘Futurama’ quotes from the episode, “The Thief of Baghead.” Any favorites I missed?
‘Haven’ has been on my list of shows to catch up on for quite a while. And, only now am I finally getting around to it. If you’ve already watched the show, enjoy my ignorance as I visit the town of Haven for the first time.
ABC’S ‘Nashville’ is a solid show with a great lead performance by Connie Britton. Whether you are a fan of country music or not, if you like soaps that aren’t too campy, you should give this a try come Fall.
